All the burner events you hear about always shun anything but absolutely necessary business (like admission fees, etc.) because of the "no commerce" BM thing. And i love that. However, I see no reason why we can't designate a function specifically for burners to do business. It is, for many of us, how we generate the money to get to the playa in the first place. And some of us do a lot more (financially) than just show up. Unless you're a trust fund baby, this is earned income. Personally, I would much rather network with burners than most of the geeks I usually meet at networking events.
