They were one of the first cities to have an official Decompression.

They used to have a regional burn but when combined with Las Vegas then moved to the Hoover Dam, it felt like it was taken away, sorta. Having a regional -during- the burn isn't really something that happens much on the west coast. As you said they're more for people who can't make the journey. Plus Decom is close enough at you get actual Playa dust for your regional money.

Hmmmm I wonder if a orphan Burn would interest anyone - say in Santa Monica mountains. No burning but camping?
