If anyone has a trike I can buy or borrow or rent please let me know.
Maybe something small and motorized?
Without a trike this year I just don't think I can go.
thanks - Raul

Re: Need a trike for my broken ankle
Sun, August 16, 2009 - 12:03 PMIf you have any sort of motorized thing with a seat, I think it needs to be registered with the DMV. Rules could have changed but that's the way it was in 2006, when last I went. I remember being told that a motorized scooter that you stand on is fine, but the seat makes the difference.
If you don't have the proper sticker/license whatever on the back of your car, you can get pulled over. I've seen it happen. Don't know what the rules are for people with temporary disabilities, but a friend of mine with a permanent disability followed all the rules to be able to use her vehicle.
Here is the section of the site with info: www.burningman.com/on_the_p...ving.html
"Disabled licenses are issued by the DMV to participants with physical disabilities. Just like Mutant Vehicles, you must pre-register in order to get a license to operate a Disabled Vehicle. Go to the Disabled Vehicle Application to register. Remember you must register before the deadline.
The criteria for licensing a Disabled Vehicle include:
Providing a city or state issued disabled placard with the accompanying identification card. The name on the card must match the applicant.
A standard of safety for your vehicle and its occupants
Physical inspection of the vehicle on the playa
Past behavior
Current behavior (violating driving rules at Burning Man is cause for revocation of your license, impound of the vehicle, and possible ejection from the event)
The following vehicles will not be licensed:
Vehicles larger than pickups
Vehicles having multiple levels
Vehicles with trailers
RV's
Motorcycles
ATV's"
